A low maintenance, evergreen shrub for acidic soil or patio containers. Azalea ‘Japanese Red’ is a slow growing, compact shrub producing masses of striking scarlet blooms through March and April. When in full colour you’ll struggle to spot the foliage beneath the flowers! Outside of flowering, this hardy azalea plant makes on outstanding structural foliage plant, adding contrast and shape on the patio or in acid borders.
